The National Gallery of Ireland was opened in 1864 and houses a collection of more than 2,500 works of art which spans from the 14th century to the 20th century and include pieces by Irish and European artists such as Jack B. Yeats, Caravaggio, Monet, Sisley, El Greco and Picasso.

The collection at the National Gallery of Ireland comprises of sculptures, sketches, watercolours and engravings. Temporary exhibitions, chamber concerts and conferences are all held at the gallery.

If you like art, then this is the perfect place to spend a day, especially as there is no entrance fee.
