For family fun during your holiday in Germany, why not take a trip to Movie Park Germany. Movie Park is a theme park and movie studios located in Bottrop-Kirchhellen in the west of Germany.
The theme park was inaugurated in 1996 as Warner Bros. Movie World. However, it was not until 2005 that it was renamed as Movie Park Germany. The park has various themed areas such as Hollywood Street Set, Nickland, The Old West and New York City, to name but a few.
Some of the highlights at Movie Park Germany are Avatar, Suspended Family Coaster, Splash Battle and Shrek 4D Cinema. The little ones will also get the chance to meet some of their favourite cartoon friends such as SpongeBob and the Ice Age heroes.

We recently took our little girl to Movie Park Germany and she loved it. She got to meet all her favourite Nick characters- We were worried that she was too little for the rides but there was something for her too.
