The most important religious event on the Christian calendar is Easter. The date on which Easter falls changes every year, but it is usually sometime between the end of March and April.

Good Friday is held three days before Easter Sunday and it commemorates Jesus’ death by crucifixion at Calvary. Easter Sunday celebrates Jesus’ resurrection from the dead after being crucified only three days before.

Today, Easter is celebrated all over the world. Celebrations range from low key family events and church ceremonies in countries such as France, Belgium and the UK, to street parades and parties in many towns and cities all over Spain.
