Ontario Place was opened in May 1971 and is a theme park located on the shores of Lake Ontario, 2.5 miles from the centre of Toronto. It was built on top of three man-made islands which are linked by bridges.

Ontario Place is divided into five themed areas. Sock City is a water park and Marina Village has a huge IMAX cinema. Market Square, Adventure Island and GoZone include attractions for the whole family, as well as restaurants and shops.
