St. Lawrence Market Gallery was opened in 1979 and is located in the old council chamber. There are displays of paintings, photographs and documents which relate to the history of the city. The museum is located in St Lawrence district and there are other museums located in this area such as the Toronto's First Post Office and Mackenzie House.

St. Lawrence Market is found in the restored South Market buildings and this is where you can buy fresh products such as cheese, fish, meat and bread.
